EVALUATION OF THE KEY INVENTION OF MR. ALESHINMADE BY RUSSIAN PRESS AND AMERICAN SPECIALISTS All the informational letters about his discovery and invention sent by Mr. Eugene Aleshin to dozens of specialized audio magazines was not published in spite of his continual attempts to break the informational blockade during past four years. Nevertheless, some of the magazines could not pass over in silence the appearance of new technologies for the XXI century and have given comments basing on the results of international exhibitions held in Russia where Mr. Aleshin presented his audio products and information. Some of these estimations are not free from distortions and sarcasm of journalists. 1. The first Russian audio journal (The Hi-Fi Journal) "Audio Magazine" 2(13) '97 in his survey of the exhibition HI-FI SHOW'97 that gathered 130 world audio manufacturers points out that at the seminar held within the framework of the exhibition Mr. Aleshin put forward a concept of "The Sound Channel of the XXI Century" and presented discovery and invention that determine the revolutionary changes in audio engineering. "Aleshin's device was placed at the test stand of the Audio Magazine. Well performed amplifier was successfully turned on and put to the test. It is necessary to note that stability of working modes of the amplifier is rather high. When final stage zero signal current equals to only 30 , there almost does not appear any "footstep" type distortions and, consequently, any high level non-linear distortion." Concluding the theme about the phenomena of the Russian firm ESA Technology, the Magazine emphasizes, that "...there are some people appear in Russia who are ready to invest in audio engineering and highly professionally promote some novelties onto the market."2. Major specialized Russian magazine "Radio", published from 1924 year, in the article named "Are there amplifiers for the XXI century in Russia?" (issue # 8-98) asseverates that such amplifiers and also the technologies are available! In its review of the exhibition "Russian High End'98" the magazine says: "The only participant of the exhibition considering this point was E.S.Aleshin, "ESA Technology", who presented two of his exhibits: compact two-channel power amplifier (Pic.2) and a device for sound testing and rating of an amplifier section... The amplifier works in high class AB, however dynamic parameters of output circuit power transistors are stabilizes with the help of a special module being a know how of the inventor. As for its sound reproducing fidelity it was found perfect - spatial perspective of symphonic orchestra not being fastened to loudspeakers in every place of the room limited only by walls, all groups of orchestra instruments became aware. Why would not it be the amplifier for the XXI century? It was surprisingly, that a good quality was demonstrated on a cheap acoustic system "Monte S"... as well as on an expensive contra-aperture audio system "Errol Lab"... The second exhibit of Mr. Aleshin showed that its "test signal was indeed capable to indicate the difference between good and bad sound channel devices... That is High End, is not it?" 3. Khabarovsk local daily "The Pacific Star" (published from 1920) on July 21, 1998 in the article named "Spado-State, give Aleshin a patent!" says: "...frankly speaking, after the recent listening that was held in the local Philarmony, the only thought that my home Sony musical center of a very good quality may be in a couple hours with the help of simple tools transformed into the same thing could drive me mad (by opinion of the journalist V. Semenova). The impressions of Victor Tiz I decided to cite from his letter to our Governor (Victor Tiz is a famous in Russia conductor of the Far Eastern symphonic orchestra, Honored Worker of Culture of Russia): "...CD and audio cassettes with records of different musical ensembles and a symphonic orchestra were played first on the US professional sound equipment "Electro Voice" and then on the Aleshin's amplifier. I was amazed by the reproducing. His amplifier in contrast to the best foreign equipment much more approaches us to the real sounds of instruments. While reproducing the most complicated for recording genre - symphony, I have at last heard not only the purity of sound and the compact sounding of orchestra but also every single voice - that was possible to hear only in real playing at concerts. The quality of sound itself contained all overtones, original tone quality and timbre impressed me greatly. I have no doubts that Aleshin's amplifier is a quite new epoch in sound reproducing. All of us understand that his invention is an absolutely new word in audio production. So today, when radio and TV plants have a stable profit by manufacturing their products, they are becoming a blockage for recognizing Aleshin's invention. However, murder will out and eventually every invention will make its way in life.In addition to this short press review some estimations of the USA specialists are as follows: 1. From the letter of the Moth Audio Corporation, Hollywood, working in the High End sphere to which the Aleshin's amplifier was loaned for expert examination: "After listening to your amplifier on several different top quality speaker systems, with several unbiased qualified listeners in attendance, the following conclusions were drawn. 1) A very musical sounding amplifier. Far better than most solid state amplifiers and one of the only solid state amplifiers to sound good on delicate and high resolving speakers, like the Lowther PM2A's... Unfortunately we are in the High End Audio market and sales are driven by fashion..." (February 23, 1999. "Moth Audio Corp.", 1746 Ivar Ave. Hollywood CA 90028, Phone 323 467-4300, Fax 323 464 -9100, e-mail: [email protected]) 2. A clever California attorney from the "Lyon & Lyon LLP" Mr. John D. McConaghy who even offending against some principles of international law connected with his refusal to patent Aleshin's invention writes in a letter to Mr. Aleshin: "Your invention is of sufficient importance that it possibly would stop the largest manufacturers of audio products. We represent at least one manufacturer of audio products. Consequently, because of the likely conflict, we are unable to entertain your offer. Further, we do not engage in joint venture relationships." (November 1997, e-mail: [email protected])3. The great desire of Mr. Aleshin was to present his technologies at the exhibition CES'98 Trade Show - the biggest international exhibition of consumer electronics (including equipment of High End class). The exhibition usually presents the best achievements in audio field which are awarded with the prestigious prize "The Innovation of the Year". After two months of active correspondence through Internet with organizers of the exhibition a specialist of the international section of the CES'98 Kirk Smallwood writes in his final letter: "Upon review of your products, I believe that yours are of a very high end nature, and not very suitable for our show. I don't think it would be a wise investment for you and I don't want you to waste your expenses on an event that might give you very low returns. Thanks again for your interest in CES." (December 3, 1997, Kirk Smallwood, Consumer Electronics Shows. Phone: 703-9077606, Fax: 703-907-7601; e-mail: [email protected]) It is necessary to note that Eugene Aleshin research and practice were never financially supported by any Russian or foreign structure. He couldn't but use solely own means earned by himself. And only recently, he from time to time uses small repayable private funds lent by persons who sympathize him. I am shocked by vacancy and muddle-headedness of financial structures all over the world which are not able to see their profit. The discovery and inventions have a very huge financial potential with the volumes of tens billions dollars of licensee payments per year not saying about the advantages of the unique production which is beyond comparison on the world market. The information is gathered and commented by Professor Yuri Vladimirovich Rozhkov,Doctor of Economical Sciences Academy of Law and Economy, Khabarovsk, Russia Phone: +7-4212-397985Fax: +7-4212793539e-mail: [email protected]
